Projects
Some of the projects that we have successfully executed and maintained across the Nigerian landscape include:
Corporate Affairs Commission
A countrywide Wide Area Network (WAN) was successfully deployed across 26 state offices around Nigeria over a robust VSAT networks using the IDIRECT platform. A reliable and secure Virtual Private Network (VPN) was also integrated into the system for remote accessing. The WAN was built to effectively handle a closed data, voice and video traffic across the establishment.
Equitorial Trust Bank
A wireless Metropolitan Area Network (MAN) was built for the bank across the Lagos Horizon covering 12 branches of the Bank. The network as designed and implemented by MOD makes available real throughput of 45 Mbps across all locations enabling hitch free communication and real-time online banking.
Afribank
MOD Engineering designed, provided, implemented and maintained an Inter-Bank Network for Afribank E-Banking system in 3 states in Nigeria covering a total 14 branches.
Federal University of Technology, Minna
Ranked amongst the most successful projects implemented by MOD, this project involved the full design, supply and implementation of the first phase of the University’s e-learning System. It entailed the provision of a primary high bandwidth internet link via VSAT and a structured Campus Wide Network using fibre optic cabling systems, Wireless Backhauls, Campus Wireless Access system and Extensive Ethernet Cablings. Routing and Information Security Systems were also deployed. The 2 campuses of the university were covered in this project.
DHL
For DHL International, MOD solely designed and developed a robust Metropolitan Network for all of the company’s locations around Lagos. This empowered the real-time online shipment handling system of the company. High capacity wireless E1 bridges were also deployed for connectivity to NITEL Telephone Exchange to support the company’s full public telecommunication needs. Support and maintenance system was long maintained for the network.
Industrial Training Fund
This project involved the provisioning of a Primary Broadband Internet Link to the establishment’s Headquarters in Jos Nigeria and other State Offices via dedicated high-bandwidth VSAT Links.
Bureau of Public Enterprise
A central VSAT infrastructure was used in deploying broadband internet access as a primary point of presence for the whole establishment reaching all departments of the establishment.
Kogi State University
This is another University Online Access Facility designed, built and maintained by MOD. It covers the entire main campus of the university on a wireless network, extending the backbone internet Link provided at the senate building to the various faculties and departments.
